Carnival Latino Restaurant and Barβthis spot showed OUT for my birthday! First off, the food was fire! That ceviche? Straight-up fresh and flavorful. The fried fish was crispy perfection, and donβt even get me started on the chimichangasβthey were too big and perfect. But what really made my night was how they showed me love for my birthday. The DJ had the whole vibe going and even played songs just for me. Then, outta nowhere, they came through with some flan (which was soooo good) and even surprised me with balloons! Like, who does that? I didnβt ask for none of it, but they really went all out to make me feel special. They made my whole day, If youβre looking for good food, good music, and people that actually care about their customers, this is the place. Iβll be back for sure. They got my loyalty
Overview
Walking into Carnaval Latino Restaurant And Bar at 7B Everett St, Revere, MA 02151, United States feels like stepping into a neighborhood gathering spot where food, music, and conversation naturally blend. Iβve eaten here multiple times over the past year, sometimes after work and other times with family on weekends, and the experience stays consistent in ways that matter. The space is lively without being overwhelming, and the staff moves with the confidence of people who know their menu inside and out. That kind of rhythm usually comes from experience, not hype.
The menu leans heavily into classic Latin American comfort food, with dishes that reflect Caribbean and Central American roots. Youβll find staples like grilled meats, rice and beans, fried plantains, and seafood plates that arrive hot and generously portioned. On one visit, I ordered the mofongo with garlic shrimp, and the texture was spot on-crispy on the outside, soft in the center, and balanced with just enough sauce. A server explained how the kitchen prepares it fresh per order rather than reheating batches, which lines up with what culinary schools often emphasize about starch-based dishes losing quality when held too long. According to general food service research shared by the National Restaurant Association, freshness and preparation timing are key drivers of repeat visits, and this place clearly takes that seriously.
Drinks are another reason locals stick around. The bar focuses on classic cocktails like mojitos and margaritas, mixed with fresh citrus instead of bottled concentrates. I once watched the bartender muddle mint by hand during a busy Friday night, which may sound small, but it shows process discipline. Studies from beverage industry groups consistently note that freshness in cocktails can increase customer satisfaction by over 20 percent, especially in casual dining environments. The bar menu also pairs well with late-night bites, making it a solid option for people looking to unwind after hours.
What stands out in reviews, both online and in conversations with other diners, is how approachable the staff feels. During one visit, a server walked a first-time guest through the menu, explaining spice levels and suggesting substitutions for dietary preferences. That level of guidance builds trust, especially for diners unfamiliar with certain dishes. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention often highlights transparency and communication as trust signals in food service, and this restaurant naturally checks that box without making it feel forced.
Location-wise, being in Revere gives the restaurant easy access for locals and visitors coming from nearby neighborhoods. Parking is usually manageable, and the dining room layout works well for groups without feeling cramped. While the restaurant doesnβt position itself as upscale, cleanliness standards are clear. Tables are wiped promptly, restrooms are maintained, and food handling follows standard safety guidelines like proper hot-holding temperatures recommended by the USDA, which suggests keeping cooked foods above 140Β°F to reduce risk.
One thing worth noting is that peak hours can mean a short wait, especially on weekends. That said, the pacing of service remains steady once youβre seated. If youβre the kind of diner who appreciates places that feel rooted in the community rather than built for trends, this spot delivers. As one regular told me while waiting for takeout, authentic flavors remind me of home, and that sentiment seems to echo across many customer experiences here. The combination of a reliable menu, a welcoming bar, and consistently positive reviews makes this restaurant an easy recommendation for anyone exploring Latin cuisine in the area.

We went for an early lunch the atmosphere was great. Good music ig worthy walls wings and mirror. The food was large portions delicious and reasonable. I think they were pretty short staffed as it was early afternoon so the food did all come out at different times but it wasn't a big deal it was worth the wait. The guacamole had huge chances of fresh avacado and tomatoes and there was ample amounts of sour cream on the side. I can't wait to come back to night to enjoy the live music/dj (I'll prob skip karaoke night tho lol). Also we didn't try the drinks but I def will be back to try them they all sounded good and were very cheep for the area (around $11 or less) #lunch #Massachusetts #revere #veggitacosalad #steakenchilada #shrimptaco #chickenempanada
Had my birthday here and the food was the bomb. The service was awesome!!! Music on point and atmosphere is clubby but not overstulimulating. Our server was Joana and she was super nice and made me feel special on my birthday come here for a lit night out dinner or birthdays.
We were the 1st (and only) diners when we arrived. Two waitresses were eating behind the bar. Several minutes later we were given chips & salsa and told to Qr scan the menu. After another 5 minutes or so our drink orders were taken. Several minutes passed while we waited on our drinks. **We were considering our options at this point but we already took an Uber to get here as there are no dining options at the Hampton Inn. I'm a Cosmo drinker and was pleasantly surprised to see it listed on the drink menu. It was perfectly made so I was impressed. The salsa was different from any I've ever had before but it was okay. I asked for a spicier version and liked it much better. I ordered steak tacos. My husband ordered shrimp enchiladas. We finished our salsa and first drinks while we waited for our order. We were given more salsa and a second round of drinks... still no food. We had been there at least 20 minutes at this point. A few more people began to arrive. Our food finally arrived and it was very good and our waitress was friendly. The wait may or may not be customary but it could have presented a problem if we were short on time. Everything was okay but we wouldn't choose this location again.
Nice little place. We had the chicken empanadas, arroz pollo and birria tacos, they were all very good. Also had the shrimp empanadas, they were only just ok... not stuffed full of filling like the chicken ones and they were greasy
Found this place by Accident, actually ordered the uber to take us to mango's, maybe this used to be it? Either way, had a GREAT TIME. Wasn't overly packed, but the DJ (Jonathan) was mixing up great Latin music of all variations (salsa, Cumbia, bachata and more). The drinks and food (empanadas) were delicious and the service was spot on. Definitely recommend if in the area!
